Wireless Healthcare

I was reading this article about the changes in healthcare and it is amazing what technology has gone from.  If you was under a doctor's care he can monitor you without you coming into the hospital.  Some of the items that I ran across was a blackberry - checking your vitals, wireless pacemaker - can be monitored over the Internet, a SmartShirt - it checks your heart rate, respirator, and body temperature, and a cellphone - with a glucose meter to check your sugar.

Foursquare

Foursquare is a social networking website, software for mobile devices.  You can only use it if you have GPS-enabled on your mobile device.  You check in using a mobile website and text messaging.  Every time you check in you can earn points or badges.  The badges are earned by checking into different venues. They have what they call Superuser Status which comes with three different level. With three being the highest.

JetLev

JetLev is a water-powered jetpack.  Like a bookbag but heavier!  A 16 yr old boy built this jetpack and it is coming out this summer.  It has a light weight carbon fiber backpack, a 10 meter hose, and an engine that floats on the water.  Can you image floating on water?  The engine sucks the water through the hosse and then it goes through the two adjustable nozzles on the backpack.   The thrust of the water is 500 pounds.  Want to guess the price?  The cost of one of these bad boys is $136,000, no joke!  Read more on it at:  http://www.digitaltrends.com
