Android Operating System

I took a closer look at this because it sounded interesting.  Android OS is a mobile operating system developed by Android Inc., but Google bought it in 2005.  It basically helps users communicate with any mobile technology.  Android OS is a modified version of Linux kernel.  Android OS can allow developers to locate any device and communicate through peer-to-peer social applications.  With Android, developers can also build an application that users can use to view the location of their friends and receive a signal when their friend is close enough to connect with. The Android Software Development Kit (SDK) is available if you are interested.

Grid Computing

Grid computing is sharing tasks over multiple computers.  Grid computing can be used to create different types of grids.  With grid computing there is no centralized management and they are independently controlled.  Computers in a grid does not have the same OS or hardware.  With grid computing grids are loosely connected and not contained in a single location.

Cloud Computing

I was interested in what cloud computing was so I did a little research on it.  Cloud computing is really just delivering services over the internet.  Cloud computing is known as "the cloud," because of  the internet.  While researching I learned that the services has three different categories: Infrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service(PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service(SaaS).  Cloud computing is sold on demand, you can get as a little or alot that you need, and it is managed by the provider.  In researching I also learned that the security of cloud computing is still reisky.  If you put data over a public cloud you are at a risk for outside threats, that is their biggest hurdle.  Most companies prefer using private clouds because you can get hardware, software, and other resources for any demand requirements.  I found researching this was interesting, I hope you do too.  If you would like to research it for yourself here is a great website to read:

Hello to everyone.  My name is Telleshus Jones, but I prefer to be called "Nell". I am currently unemployed and working on my associate degree. I have a 14 yr old son who is currently in high school and plays basketball.  I am entering my last semester of IT and am looking forward to going out there and find me a top paying job, as I am sure all of you are praying for.  This has been a long haul but well worth the headache and frustrations just to know that I will soon be able to have a better life for me and my son.  I pray this finally hurdle isn't as tough as the past semesters!!!
