Android Operating System

I took a closer look at this because it sounded interesting.  Android OS is a mobile operating system developed by Android Inc., but Google bought it in 2005.  It basically helps users communicate with any mobile technology.  Android OS is a modified version of Linux kernel.  Android OS can allow developers to locate any device and communicate through peer-to-peer social applications.  With Android, developers can also build an application that users can use to view the location of their friends and receive a signal when their friend is close enough to connect with. The Android Software Development Kit (SDK) is available if you are interested.

  1. Hey Nell. Good Post. Two of my daughters got Droid 2 phones for Christmas. (I got a great deal from Verizon.) They love the new phones and all the free apps that can be downloaded. I must admit that the OS is pretty amazing.
